Timeless
Time as we know it in the west is a tool for the pursuit of logic, efficiency and objective.
The clock demands we do things to gain something and the enjoyment of a process tends to be pressurized by time. No wonder people in society have anxiety and rely on drugs to numb their suffering. People suffer because that is exactly how Western time treats you. It has little agenda for how you feel and is obsessed with objectives, efficiency and logic.
This excess of structure woven into our daily culture is coming from a place of over stimulated mental activity. The danger of being too much in this space is that the heart becomes out of sync with the brain. Without the connection and guidance of our heart, all the vast amounts of information coming in become an echo chamber of surface level mimicking. Meaning, to mimic other peoples thoughts and ideas without really feeling what has been said. This is a sure good way to spread confusion disguised as “knowing”. These ideas can manifest as wants and desires that are not truly in our soul's fulfilment, it is a superficial delusion.
Every child is a unique individual who is naturally drawn towards certain things in life, but western systems like work and study culture neglect how we feel inside our body. There is a reason why it's called “a gut feeling” that is because your body speaks more truth than your mind does. So when we start to disassociate from our bodies by excessively working and doing things we don't enjoy, the internal compass for our soul's fulfillment becomes confused.
Real authenticity and liberation is a timeless event of extreme presence, it is a natural beat of this universe that we can all connect with. During the process of painting I feel this universal rhythm that meets me half way, and you can too. It is a language that says “forget what you think you know and embody everything you are”.
Timeless.
